Long Beach Cannabis Is Getting Back Together — and You're Invited

If you've been working in Long Beach cannabis these last few years, you know it’s time for the community to come together.

So here's some good news. On Thursday, October 8, the people doing this work are getting in one venue.

LBC: The Next Episode is a free evening at the Museum of Latin American Art, hosted by the Long Beach Collective Association in partnership with 4Leaf Consulting and the City of Long Beach. Four hours. Operators, social equity entrepreneurs and applicants, community partners, and City representatives, all in the same place.

WHY THIS ONE MATTERS

Most industry events are a room of people selling to each other. This one is different, and the difference is who's in it.

The City isn't sending a brochure. They're sending people — from the departments that actually administer these programs. If you've been trying to get a straight answer about something and getting form responses, this is a conversation instead of a ticket number.

The operators in the room have already walked the path you're on. Licensing, buildout, staffing, the parts nobody writes down. Ten minutes with someone two years ahead of you is worth more than a month of research.

And the community partners — workforce organizations, re-entry programs, neighborhood groups — are the ones who turn a license into a business that actually employs people locally. Those relationships are hard to build cold and easy to build over food.

WHO SHOULD COME

This is a community event!  Everyone from the Long Beach community is invited.  Operators, social equity applicants, legacy operators, community advocates….everyone!

WHAT THE NIGHT LOOKS LIKE

Free food, a cash bar, DJ QWESSCOAST on the music, an art installation, cannabis brand activations, and social equity operator resources with real people staffing them. It's a museum, it's golden hour, and it's going to be a good time.

Don't sleep on this one.
